30-Day Risk-Free Guarantee
We want you to be able to buy with confidence. On selected Bakyard products, if the product turns out not to be right for you, you can return it within 30 days of delivery for a full refund of the purchase price.
What this guarantee covers
This guarantee applies to any Bakyard product that displays the 30-Day Money Back Guarantee badge on its product page. At the time of publication, that includes:
- Omnipit 2-in-1 Fire Pit & BBQ
- Ember Ring 3-in-1 Fire Pit & BBQ
- FireFlex 2-in-1 Fire Pit & BBQ
- Bakyard Waterfall Pro
- Cascara Solar Water Fountain
If a product page does not display the badge, this guarantee does not apply to that product, and our standard Returns & Refunds Policy applies instead.
You can actually use it
This is a genuine try-it guarantee. You do not need to keep the product unused, sealed or boxed to qualify. Light the fire pit, cook on it, run the fountain, use it the way you bought it to be used. If you decide within 30 days that it is not for you, you can send it back.
Return shipping is at your cost
Return shipping under this guarantee is always paid by the customer. We do not provide return labels, reimburse return postage, or arrange collection for change-of-mind returns.
The original shipping, delivery and handling charges paid on your order are not refunded.
We are not responsible for goods lost or damaged in transit on their way back to us. We strongly recommend using a trackable and insured shipping service.
What you get back
Where a return is accepted under this guarantee, we refund the full purchase price of the goods, including GST. No restocking fee applies.
Refunds are issued to the original payment method, usually within five to seven business days after the returned goods are received and inspected. Processing times may vary depending on your financial institution.
How to claim
Email customer-care@bakyard.com.au within 30 days of delivery and include:
- your full name and contact details;
- your order number;
- proof of purchase (for example, a tax invoice, receipt, order confirmation email or bank statement);
- a note that you are claiming the 30-Day Risk-Free Guarantee.
We will issue a Return Authorisation with return instructions. Please do not send goods back before you receive it — unauthorised returns may not be accepted and may be returned to sender at your cost.
Conditions
To qualify for a full refund under this guarantee, the product must be:
- returned complete, with all parts, accessories, fixings and manuals included;
- completely cool, dry, and cleaned of ash, soot, fuel residue, food residue and standing water where applicable;
- free of damage caused by misuse, accident, modification or unauthorised repair;
- packed so that it is protected in transit. The original packaging is best where you still have it, but it is not required.
This guarantee is available once per customer, per product.
Where a product is returned incomplete, or damaged by misuse, accident or modification, we may reduce the refund to reflect the reduction in value, or decline the claim.
Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law are separate
This guarantee is a voluntary offer that we make in addition to your legal rights. It does not limit, replace or exclude them.
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. If a product is faulty, damaged on arrival, or not of acceptable quality, you have separate rights to a repair, replacement or refund. In those cases, we will reimburse reasonable return postage costs or arrange collection at our cost.
The requirement that you pay return shipping applies only to change-of-mind returns made under this guarantee. It never applies to a faulty goods claim.
How this sits with our Returns & Refunds Policy
Where this guarantee applies to a product, it operates in place of the change-of-mind provisions in our Returns & Refunds Policy: the 30-day window and full refund replace the 14-day window and the 20% restocking fee set out there. All other provisions of the Returns & Refunds Policy continue to apply.
